- Aourir’s “Banana Village” market
- Private vehicle, your own pace
About this day trip
Taghazout has grown from a fishing village into Morocco's best-known surf town, with a working harbour, a handful of surf schools, and cafés that stay busy well past sunset. Aourir, just along the coast, is better known by its nickname — Banana Village — for the plantations that line the road into town.
A relaxed half-day out: walk the harbour, browse the surf shops, and stop at a roadside stall for fruit on the way back. No fixed itinerary — the driver adjusts to however long you want at each stop.
